Privacy Policy

Circuit Bungalows is a community directory of Sri Lankan government circuit bungalows and holiday bungalows. It is run as a personal project. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us using the form at the bottom of this page.

Account information: when you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider. We do not receive your provider password.

Your contributions: bungalow listings, photos, edit suggestions, reviews, and ratings that you submit to the site.

Saved items: bungalows you bookmark.

Usage information: we log which bungalow pages are viewed so we can understand which listings are popular. This is stored without identifying details beyond a random session.

To operate the directory: displaying listings, showing your contributions on your profile, and letting you manage your bookmarks.

To moderate content: new listings and edit suggestions are reviewed before they are published.

To improve the service: aggregated view counts and analytics help us understand which parts of the site are useful.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Your information is stored securely with our service providers: Supabase (database and file storage) and Vercel (website hosting). Sign-in is handled directly by Google or Facebook under their own privacy policies.

Listings, photos, reviews, and ratings you submit are public — that is the purpose of the directory. Your email address is never shown publicly. We do not share your personal information with other third parties except as required by law.

You can remove a bookmark at any time from your profile page.

You can ask us to correct or delete your account data and contributions using the contact form at the bottom of this page. Public listings that have already been approved may be kept where they form part of the shared directory.

To delete your account and personal data, send a request through the contact form at the bottom of this page with the subject "Delete my data". We will delete your account, profile information, bookmarks, and reviews within 30 days. Public bungalow listings you submitted that have already been approved may be kept as part of the shared directory, but they will no longer be linked to your account.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy, we will update the date below. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
